This event is a perfect opportunity for families and friends to come together and enjoy a variety of activities that highlight the rich cultural and spiritual heritage of our community.

The day will begin with an inspiring keynote address by a distinguished speaker, focusing on the importance of unity and mutual support within our community. Following the address, attendees can participate in various workshops and activities designed for all ages. Children will enjoy engaging games, arts and crafts, and storytelling sessions, while adults can take part in informative discussions and skill-building workshops.

A highlight of the event will be the delicious array of food, featuring traditional dishes from various cultures within our community. This culinary showcase not only promises a feast for the senses but also serves as a symbol of our diverse and harmonious community.

In addition to the activities and food, there will be performances showcasing traditional music, dance, and poetry, providing a platform for local talent to shine. The event will conclude with a group prayer and a reflection session, reinforcing the bonds of unity and brotherhood.

About Kokni Community Luton

The Koknis who have established themselves in Luton are approximately 500 and growing – small in comparison to the Pakistani and Bangladeshi communities. We first came to the town in the 1960s – from India, South Africa, post-independence Kenya and other places. Most Koknis retained strong links with their villages in India – Khed, Sakhroli, Furus, Tisenghi, Mazgaon to name but a few. These connections continue to remain strong.
